FAQ
How does 3D printing work?
3D printing uses 3D designs which are layered into very thin cross sections. These layers are sent from the file server to the 3D print machine, which deposits the material layer by layer to create the 3D object. This object can be produced in full multicolor or as a plain coloured object.
Which process should be used for my prototype?
We normally recommend the 3D print process which is lowest cost with high degree of accuracy. Where objects are required to have flexibility or added durability, we will recommend the objects be produced from SLA or SLS, and will advise and quote accordingly.
What is normal turnaround time?
This depends on our workload and on the size and complexity of the required model. Typically you can expect a turnaround time of 2 to 3 days plus shipping by courier. If your model is urgently required, please advise when ordering so we can agree on a suitable delivery schedule to meet your needs.
Which file formats do we accept?
Our preferred format is the industry standard STL

We can accept the following formats;
3DS 3DStudio
OBJ Wavefront
For other file formats, please discuss with us and we will attempt to accomodate your files.
If I dont have a 3D file, can you still give us a price?
For a quick quotation, we need a 3D file. Without this file it is very difficult to provide a quote. We can offer to develop a 3D file from a 3D file, at the additional cost of this service. This process will also obviously delay the time in which we can provide a quote for a 3D model.
How can I pay?
You can pay via PayPal, credit card, or by direct deposit our account. GST is payable on all sales within Australia.
How is the model shipped?
We will use courier services oin packaging which will ensure safe transport of the model. Cost of this serviceds on the area of delivery.
Can I cancel once I have placed the order?
This depends on whether manufacturing of the model has commenced. If it has, the order cannot be cancelled. If manufacturing has not yet commenced, we may be able to cancel the order, but a fee will be charged for any work done in prpearation of the file.
